This was a good example of great customer satisfaction at a domestic landscaping project in the Scottish Borders.
Gillian wanted new paving laid across a large rear patio, not made easy due to an awkward access point. Luckily, because of the equipment we have, we were able to get in and cause a minimal mess.
This project led to a further 6 jobs through Gillian recommending us to her neighbours.
Around 7 years ago we did a large patio area for a domestic customer in Innerleithen, Scottish Borders. The rear garden was at a much lower level than the front and access was limited. Given the size of the area, there was a lot of material to come out and go back in to prepare for the paving (around 30 Tonnes came out and 15 went in). We had the equipment to be able to do this without the hassle and reliability issues of hiring and had the area prepared quickly. We made sure everything was left clean and tidy each day and that any damage caused to the grass areas driven over was fixed. The job was completed quickly and tidily.
From this one project, the client recommended us strongly, and this recommendation directly led to another 6 projects within that area over the following years. People do say the best form of advertising is word of mouth, and there is no doubt about the truth in that!
What the client said
“We were undertaking a build of a very large patio stretching across the whole of the back of our house, which also required levelling. From start to finish Gavin and his team were helpful and efficient.
Gavin first guided us in amending our design to sit better with the shape of the house and then in the choice of stone we would use, to complement the garden and the existing stone on the house. He also advised us to partially resurface the existing stone steps, to ensure continuity of stonework across the whole area, which was definitely the right thing to do. Despite some very wet and windy May weather, the team completed the job within the planned time, kept me informed and were efficient and cheerful!
I always believe that the sign of a great patio is one that doesn’t move, doesn’t start to get loose slabs, and doesn’t have any weeds growing through ….7 years on our patio is a good as the day it was finished. All it requires is a gentle power wash in the spring to remove any build up. I have recommended Gavin and his team to a number of friends, all of whom have been delighted with his advice, his work and the end result. I would have no hesitation in asking Gavin and his team to undertake major garden landscaping work for me again.”
